With a visit to Asunción by the Chilean company Frigosorno, a leading company in the commercialisation of meat in their country, the first brand of premium Paraguayan meat was incorporated into the Chilean market, which is being produced under high standards established in a protocol backed by the BRC quality system of Frigochaco, the strategic partner of the brand.
This brand is made from animals that enter the CORRAL DEL CHACO programme, which are steers and heifers, preferably finished in confinement but also on pasture under a rigid carcass evaluation criteria.
Initially, 6 loads have been programmed to be distributed in nine regions, all of them elaborated with cattle selection protocols and cut profiles adjusted to the needs of the most demanding consumers in the trans-Andean country.
For Alejandro Anwandter, general manager of Frigosorno, the visit was very profitable, which included a tour of the Paraguayan Chaco. "Paraguay is the main meat actor in Chile and we have long wanted to deliver to the Chilean consumer a highly selected meat from Paraguay,
superior to all those that currently exist, and CORRAL DEL CHACO is a reflection of a high selection of cattle and a production process of excellence of our partner Frigochaco".
Sebastián Wall, plant manager of Frigochaco, commented: "As the Chilean market is growing in importance for us every year, we are very happy to be able to develop this premium brand together with Frigosorno and thus be able to give added value to the high quality cattle on which we have been working for many years in Paraguay".
